HONOLULU — Honolulu prosecutors have decided not to file charges against a 20-year-old man involved in a fight in which another man died.

The Honolulu Star Advertiser reports 58-year-old Daniel Moon died five days after what police called a “mutual physical altercation” with the younger man at 9:35 p.m. May 30 in Makiki.

Moon also hit a passenger in a car during the fight.

Police say he was uncooperative with investigators at the scene.

Moon suffered head injuries and was transported in serious condition to a hospital. He died Wednesday.

Police opened a manslaughter investigation but the prosecutor’s office on Saturday formally declined to pursue charges.
